Itinerary Fonglumet 1934 July 25 1 mi N Burbank, 350 ft. Walla Walla Co. Wash. On the evening of the 24th Claitin, Tevis and I rode to the following locality to set traps: 4 mi. NNW Richland, 450 ft., Benton Co., Wash. 50 mouse traps were set 5-10 yd. apart in a sagebrush flat and 20 mouse traps were set along an irrigation canal. The catch was. Peromyscus parvus 3 or 4? All were caught on the sagebrush flat. One set of gopher traps was made at: 2 mi. NW Richland, 400 ft., Benton Co., Wash. 1 ? Thomomys talpoides was caught in an alfalfa field. On the way back to camp I saw one Blue-winged teal, one eastern kingbird, and one burrowing owl carrying a snake. Other birds seen about camp include: Forster's tern, Caspian tern, magpie, crow, raven, mallard & with 16 young, greater yellow-legs, spotted sand- piper, seagull sp?, Canada goose, robin, meadow lark, mourning dove, Brewer blackbird, redwing blackbird, bobwhite quail, cliff
