On the afternoon of the 18th Chantin and I rowed over to Blalock Island to set traps. There was a brush fire on the E end of the island so we went on down stream and set our traps at - Blalock Island, 250 ft., 2 mi SW. Paterson, Benton Co., Wash. 80 mouse traps were set and the catch was - Dipodomys ordii 1♂ Perognathus parvus 9♂ 19♀ 2? When we rowed over on the morning of the 19th the fire had gone out after burning over about 300 acres. Animals and birds noted on or about the island included Lepus californicus, Sylvilagus nuttalli,
