rocky areas and investigating
crecks and crevices. Males singing
but no conspicuous display flights.
A single female also seen in
the bed of Whistler Creek in the
company of some rosy fuschias.
4 June
Peters-Schwader Lakes: a female was
seen on the Frank-Sulvan bluffs
semi-dawn from below of 4 Buttes
Creek, elevation 2200. It was
attracted once by a placebo.
6 June
Peters-Schwader: L - rather common
along Carrivone Creek both high
up on rocky walls of valley and
right down in the creek bed.
Males seen displaying. Some appear
to be ready to nest in rocky
mountain areas in the bed of the
valley. Probably 30-40 birds seen
in all along 21/2 miles of creek.
7 June
Peters-Schwader - about 6-8 males
are stationed out on the jumble of
rocks at the southwest corner of
Peters. One female was collected.
8 June
Peters-Schwader - two or three seen
around boulder jumbles on the creek
above the large fan SE side of Schwader.
