Barred to S Bar 3 - total of 4 seen
between these stations, but it was
common at S. Bar 3 itself, where
birds were nesting in the refuse
covering an area as no of ground
around the well. Here there must
have been half a dozen pairs at least.
Okpilak River - John Cantlon reports
that more breeding are common in
rocky areas about the high meadows
at around 3500-4000 ft. Ibe and Ed
Lable have been seeing them all summer.

One was seen flying over some
rocky taluses at the base of the valley
wall between Coutort Creek and
the Lisbonne Limestone formation
about 2 mi above camp. Altitude
about 2500 ft.

While I was sitting on top of the
saddle at the heads of the laterals of
Coutort Creek at 5000 ft, a juvenile
flew to me and landed right in
front of my feet. It was collected.
