1. Code 1958 Plectrophay nivalis 6 July Cort on top of an old nest. 7 July Barred to S Bar 3 - total of 4 seen between these stations, but it was common at S. Bar 3 itself, where birds were nesting in the refuse covering an area as no of ground around the well. Here there must have been half a dozen pairs at least. Okpilak River - John Cantlon reports that more breeding are common in rocky areas about the high meadows at around 3500-4000 ft. Ibe and Ed Lable have been seeing them all summer. 31 July Okpilak River 3 August Okpilak River One was seen flying over some rocky taluses at the base of the valley wall between Coutort Creek and the Lisbonne Limestone formation about 2 mi above camp.
