Calcarius lapponicus
12 June Peters-Schwader L.- nest on flats
between lakes - depression at base
of damp peat mound overgrown with
edges and dwarf willows - surrounded
by mire edge-grews stend - 6 eggs
(Embryo 10mm), lined with a few
stamming feathers - mostly cottongrass
Tufts.
13 June Peters-Schwader L.- nests as follows:
#1 - 4 young x 1 egg - at base of
turnock on dry alluvial fan under
a low willow - cup lined with
a few longspur feathers.
#2 - 4 young x 1 egg - this is
the nest just S of Camp listed
under a previous date.
#3 - 4 young x 1 egg - nest on
side of a mors mound - surrounded
by flooded turnock - Cavy moss-
cup lined with longspur feathers.
14 June Peters-Schwader L. - cluttd of Carrivove -
5 eggs (emb 15 mm) on side of mors
mound by quers clump and dwarf
willows - on clump ground - moss -
edge-grews - leckins - dwarf willows
moss - cup lined with few longspur
feather.
