Code 1958 Colocasia lappaceus 3 August Okpilak River - fairly common on the second river terrace at the level of Okpilak Lake and on the lower to middle zones of the alluvial fans. On the walk to the shucho's rest 3½ miles above camp about 20 individuals were seen - more numerous than piuta. +9 August Okpilak River - seen commonly on all these drops in every habitat of the river valley except tall brush, but not seen in the high country above 2500 ft. -22 August Jugo Lake - common in flocks over the open heaths of the meadows and in the flood plain. Perhaps next to redpolls the commonest bird - possibly exceeded also by two previous M. code River - Coalyne - one was seen on 5 nests of the large lake 1 mi N10° willows. September M. code River - one seen on the right limit in a marshy area.
