T. Coole 1959 Arthurs spinoletta 2 June - cont - On the west side of Peters while climbing up through the high pass over to Whistler, a P was seen saying the food - begging response. Just over the pass on the Whistler C side, a P was first seen collecting nesting material. Later she food begged and another pipit came over and copulated. Then she was seen carrying material to a nest. Investigated in a nest ca 4" in dia & deep, at base of a moss- drops covered mound on rocky ground there was a half fertilized egg. Peters half of the cup had been fertilized and a few stems of grass were lying in back of the hole for beginning inside half. Contents of groove edge sitting with some debris worked in. No cup lining yet. + June Peters - Schwaefer Lakes - seen commonly on walk down "Butes" W and back along the ridge. 5 June Peters - Schwaefer Lakes - at 7 being up by shrubs on west side Peters, On the lower part of fan of Chamber- lain C, met with 2 cold eggs - may bee pipit - not long few. No bird was wound nest when found. On moss this next belongs to C. Iapponea
