Eremophila alpestris 2 August Franklin Bluffs, Sogawquinktok R. Novanda reported having seen larks on the bluffs. 3 August Okfjilak Lake - Two hawks were flushed on a gravel bar in the river bed. The ground was sparsely vegetated. The birds got up at a good distance. August Okfjilak River On the slope between the two lateral of Contact Creek, I shot an adult lark in heavy molt at about 4000 feet. On top of the saddle in an over rocky talus I encountered a small flock of 6 or 7 larks, one of which was shot and looks to be a juvenile.
