Lanius borealis
31 July - Two flying juveniles were seen in some willow
brush by the dump at Unit.
2 August - One was attracted to the wires opposite my
glouret by one of the falcons perched outside. It was a
juvenile. Soon two magtails flew into the area, and
the shrike chased on but it escaped by flying under a
stack of oil drums.
14 August - juveniles now seen daily about the glouret
area of Unit.
