Cohville River - above Killik Bend
At the long series of sandstone
outcrops in the bend of the river -
first bluff on the left just below
mouth of Oolamgoparik River, several
Phaethes were heard calling as the
thunder storm was approaching. [illegible]
Later, after the rain, I saw two
flying about or some of the middle
bluffs but when the area was
investigated later none could be
found
3 August Okfilab River
Two adults were seen in willows
on the flood plain near the mouth
of Couttet Creek. One was shot.
Later a third adult was seen on
a talus below the Listerne lime-
stone outcrop. In this same locality
a nest of this type made by phaethes
was seen midway overlooking on
the limestone outcrop about 60 ft
up on a sheer wall. Sable said
he had also seen such a nest at
an outcrop on the other side of the
river.
