Code 1958 Myctea scandiacea 23 June Barrow - An owl was seen sitting out in the north end of Central Marsh at 21:00; earlier at 15:50 I had seen one, probably same individual, about 2 miles southwest along gasline ridge, Barrow to S Bow-3 - one male & seen (age general account) 7 July 3 July Colville River - below mouth of Killeb - An owl was seen sitting on a clump of timble that had drifted onto a gravel bar. It flew away across the timble as our boat approached. September Meade River - Coalmine - An adult (very white - male?) was seen sitting on the timble about 3/4 mi S of village. It allowed me to approach within 30 yds. A .22 that scared it off 150 yds, but I could not again make a close approach. September Meade River - Coalmine - at stake 9.6 of T7, a pellet containing feces of brown Lagopus lagopus was found. Lush quinn area. 5 Sept Meade River - white adult (? ?) seen sitting on mound between village & T708. Sept Meade River - seen in same area again.
