nest #2. To my knowledge there
are no juveniles in the area of
nest #2 & #6. There is one deco-
-ile in #4 area, 3 in the #3
nest and 4 widely scattered
juveniles probably from #1.
Probably only 2 - possibly only 1, of
the #3 juveniles will reach
flying age. All the others apparently
will die at
The positions of individual
owls seen on these days are
plotted on Malew's map, and the
areas occupied by owls at #2,
3, 4, 6 and the present area of
#41 are indicated. There appears
to have been little or no selection
in the number of adults present
in the area since Malew made his
census.
