Cade 1959 Larus hyperboreus 18 May Barrow - few were seen flying around the dump today. 20 May Barrow - flock about 40 were seen flying along the coast past Barrow. Pitmegea - several seen around the mouth and along the river past camp. 1-22 May Pitmegea - seen and heard both drop. 23 May Pitmegea - seen all along the river between camp and the gypsophila cliff. 25 May Pitmegea - seen over the river by camp, 27 May Pitmegea - seen several times along the river and once over the tundra back of camp. 7 May Cafe Beauport - ca 100 percent around the dump at the dehorite site. June Umiat - one seen flying along the upper tundra back of the airstrip.
