1. Code 1958 Larus hyperboeus 7 July Barrow to S, Bar-3 - 6 seen on the turf (see general account) 10 July Uniat, Alaska - 3 seen flying over the dump. Several gulls been trapped by Griffin at his fish net. 16 July Uniat - three seen flying over the second terrace near Uniat Lake in the evening. 20 July Uniat - one seen flying over the dump. 2-25 July Colville River - seen commonly all along the way from Oolamagooeke to Uniat - especially at mouths of tributary streams. 2 September Meade River, Coalmine - about 12:00; 5 of village an adult and a juvenile flew over a lake where I was hitting. The adult made the usual + cackling "quibab" sound but the juvenile was uttering a soft whistled "twee loot." September Meade River, Coalmine - several seen flying around the large lake 1 mi NW of village. September Meade River, Coalmine - the remains of a gull were found between the village and the area of T798. Feathers scattered around over 2 sq. yards. No body remains. Fox? Sept Meade River - several seen along river 1 mi below above 2 wild age.
