Stevensville Censes Date
13 June - Vainwright, Alaska
At 1050, standing at T2-2.0, and glassing
a 360° turn with a radius of ¼ to ½ mile,
I could see 14 jaegers - mostly pomarine.
At 1145, standing about 2000 feet east
of the cemetery and 1000 feet west of stake
10.0 of T4 and glassing a 360° turn as above,
I could see 17 jaegers - 3 of which were
definitely long tails - the rest probably
pomarine.
15 June, Barrow, Alaska
In the area just S. of the campiles
back of ARL, several times I glassed
the terrain for 360° around me with
7 x 50 binocs and I saw no jaegers. In
this area last year in the third week of
June there were many pomarine. Maker
and I shot some here.
