They were "melowing." 2 August, Jago Lake - 4 block individuals flew by camp, melowing and selecting down view at 1420. 7 August Okpilak Lake - several heard "melowing" along the river around 1300. September Meade River. Coulmeir - a pair of normal phase adults was seen perched ride by ride in a ridge-grows marsh about half a mile S of the village. I got within 30 yds left missed an aiming shot. September Meade R - at Coalmin - two normal phase adults seen flying ca 1 1/2 mi NW of village.
