T. Code 1958 Stercorarius parasiticus 6 July Barrow - flock of 7 light phase birds near new Walschlag Slough this afternoon. Three juvenile seen yesterday in the Vath area - all dark. 7 July Barrow to S. Bow-3 - total of 9 seen (see general account) 9 July Uniat, Alaska - 2 block ones were seen sitting on a man-made mound of moss on the second terrace between T6 & T7. They flew out of the area as the vessel approached. 12 July Uniat - two block birds seen perched on mounds east of alligator wood - in same general vicinity of July 9 observation. 7 August Okjiluk Lake - a group of 4 jaegers was seen flying up the river valley in the late evening. Not certainly this species- may have been longicaudis but they were gamboling in the air and giving the "meow" call. Does longicaudis give this call? (See Maher). August Okjiluk Lake - a dark phase individual flew over the lake late in the evening while we were waiting for the air- plane. August Jogolake - two block individuals flew over camp at 1700 and attacked reef
