Cade 1957 Pluviales dominica 1 June One seen and collected on the beach ridge west of the village. 6 June Several individuals were seen on the tundra outside of Bannaw foot same more than about 10 miles inland. 8 June - pair seen at Half Moon Three. 13 June pair seen up hill from T4. 7/5-16 July Paint Loe Common in pairs on the higher grounds all around the site. On 16th a downy young was found near the west end of the lake. In the two days about a dozen pairs seen. 14 July Bannaw Flock of 20 seen - melting into fall plumage 7-30 July Pitt Paint Seen fairly commonly in pairs on the tundra and in small groups of 3-4 along the rivers and the backwash area near overlook #1. 5 August Jago Lake One moor heaped calling ca. 1800 at N end of the lake. Later it was seen and shot. It is just beginning to molt into winter plumage.
