Cade 1958 Stercorarius parasiticus 18 June - east of Barraw I saw one dark individual while we were flying over the mainland SW of Cooper Island. 21 June Barraw - one black individual seen flying along block ridge at 1358. 23 June Barraw - a black one seen flying at 1330 at south end of Cluthell Marsh. 25 June Coal Mine - Meade River - two have been seen repeatedly flying and hunting over an area southwest of T7-8. When Joe shot the Caribbean, he scared up three jaegers and they flew about the area for a while calling. One chased a female pintail. June Coal Mine - Meade River - one seen in the same area this morning. Another black individual was seen over a lake ca 1 mi SW of camp near the grill next. June Two or three seen flying over twelve adjacent to the river above camp. June One seen flying over the area of T324. June Three were seen squabbling in the air and down on the ground between T122 in the late evening. It looked as though two were attacking one, but none of them was carrying prey.
