Cack 1958 Phalacopus fulicarius 28 June cont At 20.30 I checked this nest again and the young were already gone. 1 July Barrow - 247 c 137 rem an a.3 brood tupp - great reduction in numbers from two weeks ago. July Barrow to South Barrow Three - a total of 63 rem (see general account). Two nests were found, each with 4 eggs & 5737 incubating. One located on east side of Drovocarik Lake - situated on a low moss mound by a small pond. Nest scrape lined with dried redge-grass, with a canopy of dead redge stems overlapping above. 2nd nest SE of the Lake - also on low moss mound in a wet (muddied) redge-grass marsh; lined with redge and with a redge canopy.
