11 June Christ, Alaska
A pair was seen at the same
place as the dacatches and
deculii.
A single (?) was seen on a small
pond in the area of T-4 about 1630,
Very common on open water of lakes
on the first and record for beaches. Saw
2-3 flocks of 20 or more. Took movies of
one group.
12 June
13 June A pair was seen on a small pond east of Christ near
the oil well, lubrin rises bottom.
14 June Several pairs seen in the wet area of T4.
18 June Pairs now seen isolated in small ponds in
cavely nuts.
25 June Pairs seem to have broken up. Only single
birds flushed off of small ponds seen.
2-15 July Males very solicitous of small areas around
their ponds.
