20 May Pitmwegea River - one heard
giving the courtship oot-oot
Call near camp between 2300 -
2400.
21 May Pitmwegea - Flocks of 12 seen
on the upland timber back
of camp and several other
individuals seen through the
day. Another flock of 7 month young
Pitmwegea - courtship call heard
again in the early morning.
23 May Pitmwegea - several individuals
seen over the timbre in wet-
land areas. Courtship calling
heard on the northeast side
of the river and at 2 locales
in Childs's study area back of
camp.
5 May Pitmwegea - several pairs seen
in the uplands back of camp but
no courtship heard.
27 May Pitmwegea - Courtship pairs common
on both sides of the river in areas
where puddles more accumulated.
About one pair per 5 to 10 acres
in the wetland habitats.
On 21st saw a male chase a E.
pusilla that landed by his female.
