Lilleland 1933 43 Eutamias dorsalis July 5 Toquima Range 1 3/4 mi E Jefferson, 7800 ft Nye Co., Nev. One specimen shot. ♀ On rock low ridge. July 10 Hot Creek Range, 8 mi Wl Tybo, 6700 ft, Nye Co., Nev. Shot two females. One taken in a pinion coming down trunk at a spot about 200 feet above sheepherders cabin. The other was taken as it climbed up on a small juniper on S side of canyon, nearer camp (4/5 of a mi) Formation - Knolls spotted with large rocks. Calling to another specimen when I saw her. July 11. Walking up canyon about 5 15 am.. Saw Eutamias dorsalis on rocky ledge. Had always understood that Eutamias did not appear until after sun shone on burrow or rock ledge. There was one up and out certainly before the sun reached him. Taken on north side of canyon about 3/10 of a mile above camp. First male taken.
