Lilleland 1933 Itinerary, 38 Cont'd July 28 Neotoma lepida, faeces in rock crevices, juniper twigs scattered about burrow etc. July 29. Took 5 Peromyscus truei, 2 Neotoma lepida, one Peromyscus crinitus, one live Eutamias dorsalis and 10 Peromyscus maniculatus. The adults of the latter seem to me redder in color than those I have taken here before. Neotoma was taken in the rocks (adult) young, was taken on W slope 70 ft., from nearest rock. The Peromyscus truei without exception were taken on the top of the ridge. The single Eutamias dorsalis was taken under a large juniper tree on west slope. Caught by back- it (?) was jumping around when I came up to it. Released it and put it into a sock, hoping to keep it alive. Peromyscus crinitus was taken near the top on W side. Made up specimens in afternoon. July 30 Set traps for bushy tailed Neotoma with Jack Arnold on previous evening- rain had set off some traps. A few had been cleaned of bait and not sprung. Took only one Peromyculus
