Lilleland 1933.
Itinerary,
July 17 Left Greenmonster Canyon Camp with W.B. Davis at 9.15 a.m. Went by Fish Lake and Hot Creek Canyon through Page Bros. Ranch. Stopped at a dwelling to get advice on roads. This was at 11 a.m. We were told to take Road to N and turn left toward a very rugged mountain and 'Six mile Canyon.' Just as we turned into this canyon we saw an Ammospermophilus, white streaked tail over his back, running up the mountain side. Arrived at end of road about 11.50. Consensus of opinion favored turning down canyon and selecting a better camp site. Dr. Hall stayed with Francis Gale who was resting under tree suffering from fever. The two trucks turned down the canyon. W. Russell elected to camp in 3 brick kilns.
