Lilkland 1933 Itinerary. 17 Tonopah about 6:45 We headed for some sand dunes NE of Tonopah. Drive about 16 miles NE of Tonopah - a short distance off the road and camped. Set out 30 traps using flashlight. Line paralleled highway to E. July 9 Took 5 Microdipodops megacephalus and 2 Perognathus nevadensis. Checked speedometer to find that our campsite was 4 mi from the pumping station (NE) Left Ralston Valley site about 1:30 am. - Arrived at Clarke's Station at 8:30 am. Counseled with Keeper regarding roads - and headed N toward Hot Creek mts. Paul Wilson ill on trip - Overnight camp selected E of Tybo in Hot Creek mts. Set out trapping S of creek. July 10 Trapline started above sheepherders cabin about a mile above campsite. From this point line went S of creek directly to the top of the divide in an ExS direction. Traps yielded one crinitus and one Eutamias quadrivitattus. I shot two Eutamias dorsalis near the cabin and a Eutamias quadrivitattus at the top of the divide Also shot a towhee near cabin. Turned towhee over to Jack Arnold. July 11 Altogether I had out 25 Rat traps and 30 mouse traps. Obviously, Rodents were not
