LIDRICK 1984 July 15 Teronga Zoo. Dinner at Angelas (Singer) cruising) in East Lakes w/ Angies & Ron + Bethan Quinn. July 16-23 Fowler Gap Tour Tour was led by David Read, graduate student of Barry Fox's at Univ. of N.S.W. The comfort & crew were provided by Centralia Tour Co. Crew was: drivers - Ray & Tim L., cook - Tracy, cook's helper - Bill S., tour leader - John Stanley & his aunt - Wes. There were 68 participants from the conference. July 16 - Rain all day. Met at Univ. at 07:30; actually left 08:25. Brief stop in Katanning, lunch at Bathurst Parade grounds when we found some shelter from rain. At Dulbo we continued N to Gill gardens & then Coonabarabran. From there we went into Warrumbungle National Park, camped at the woolshed. Dinner was ~ 2230-2300. Very cold night. July 17 - Beautiful day. Even colder night. At 4 AM Susan & I hiked to top of Belongery Split Rock mountain. In afternoon we took shower at Cooy Blackburn, & then 2 hike short hikes out from camp. Set up my 2 mist nets over a stream with Dave Read July 18 - Lv. Warrumbungle & return to Dulbo. Visit Western Plains for then + love lunch. Lv. 1500 to drive N to Bourke. Camped & campground N of town near Darling River. At 20 led talk from Ted Finney, Director. They are making plans for Wonding Angas
