LIDICKER 1984 7 Aug cont. the afternoon, we went to the coast at Sand Rocks. On the 8th we returned to Sydney via Newcastle & Swansea (the latter is Barry Fox's home town). On the evening then was the opening ceremonies for the joint Aus. Soc. of Mammologists - Australian Museum Soc. meetings. Mammals seen on this day included: Koala - 2 seen near Muruga Brush (a third we saw by zoom lens) Red-necked Wallaby - 2+ seen W of Bombah Pt. farm & 4+ adult ind.v. near Mt Dandenong. Eastern Grey Kangaroo - 2 on way back to Sydney Brush-tailed Possum - 2 (shot-lighting), 1 road side Greater Glider - 1 (shot-lighting) Rabbit - 1 Euryly. Fox - 1 DOR Aug 9-13 - joint ASM/AMS conference Univ. NSW. Only Aug 9 I had privilege of opening scientific session & chairing first session. On 11th gave Symposium paper 2-4 pm contributing volute papers. Closed session on Mt. extology & small mammals on the 10th. Attended joint board meeting of AMS Council & ASM Board of Directors on 13th. Dinner with Alan & Philip Green in Wollstonecraft on the 12th. Conference dinner at Ashmore Farm on 13th. Aug 14 Attended meetings at Sydney Opera House. Dinner at Barry & Marilyn Fox's.
