LIDICKER 1991 14-20 jun cont. [illegible] Lynx rufus - scat seen in 2 places at Kongo P, Sylv: lagos floridans - 1 seen Georgy - 1 wound noted at Tuttle Creek St. Pk. (Lutheran) Arct - 2 signs around street lights = Manhattan. Birds noted: (Kongo Prov. = KP, Manhattan = M, Tuttle Cr Pk + Res = TC; Wyandotte Co. Pk = WCP; highway between Kansas City and Manhattan = KCM) Gt. Bl. Horn - 1 (KP 17), 1+ (KP 19), 1 (TC) Wood Stork ? - b/w M + Topeka on 20th, Louis & Franis saw a large white bird, probably with black wing tips flying down the Kansas River; no soaring noted. I was driving & saw only a very large bird barely visible to naked eye. Canada Goose - 20+ (WCP) Mallard - 3 (WCP) Turkey Vulture - KCM - 6+ on 14th + 1+ on 20th Red H. Hawk - KCM - 1 on 14th + 1 on 20th Rg. xk. Phoenix - 2 (KP-19) Gr. Prairie Chick - ? 1 poorly seen at KP flying in or out of wheat field N. Bob-white - 20+ + 20+ (KP), 1+ (TC) Killdeer - KP - 1+1; KCM - 1 Vigland Plover - 1 KP-17 Rock Dove - M saw. Mourning Dove - 75+ Yellow-billed Cuckoo - KP - 2 17th, 15th 19th, WCP - 1 Com. Nighthawk - 8+ (M), (KP-17) - 10+ including 1 down at no + gave "splitting" type call several times & also
