Sparrow - 10+ Red-wing - 100+ Brown-headed Cowbird - 100+ Yellow-breasted Blackbird - 1 (carrying food) - N and Clear Lake Br. Red Crossbill - 20+ Horned Finch - 35+ Bew. Goldfinch - 10+ Down Sparrow - 30+ N = 61 In White trip N = 107 R: Orchard Field Station, Richmond CA. June 7 - Louis & I visited the Station 14:20 - 15:15 walked over old field, across to dry channel & W on other side of road + food. Few old Mimulus were widely scattered. 2+ active runs on field centered in Harding grass patches. Only a few individuals of Hardium branchy on those from front for cluster. Grass is definitely dominated by 5-type fescue, Dactylis glomerata & lots of Lolium. Mimulus population definitely low. Russell Reservation, Lafayette CA. June 7 - Louis & I visited Res. from 16:00 - 17:55. Small amount of Mimulus, very scattered in dry grass patches. One 1 family-active run found in around grass. Very discrete Elymus patch found near grid #4. W. Flycatcher - 1 hand
