L/ Dick 1991 Sapsucker Woods, Ithaca, Tomkins Co., NY environs May 4 +5 May 4 - Drove from Philadelphia to Cornell Campus, spent around hours wandering over campus. Stayed in motel in Cayuga Hts. May 5 - 09:00-11:00 Sapsucker Woods. Then drove to S. shore Cayuga Lake & headed back to Philadelphia. Left Philadelphia on flight to Chicago after multiple delays. Louise took train to Bethesda, Md. Landy - O'Hare ~23:00; home 23:55. Birds recorded: Gt. Bl. Heron - 2 Canada Goose - 6 Snaild - 10+ Wood Duck - 1 heard Cormorant - 1 fr. - from land nr. Binghamton 4 May K:11deer - 2 (4 May) Right Bull - 1 (nr. Cayuga Lake) Turkey Vulture - 5+ (mostly seen in Penn.) Rock Dove - 1+ (in trans) Mourning Dove - 10+ Chimney Swift - 1 (Phila., on 3 May) Belted Kingfisher - 1 N. Flicker - 8+ Downy Woodpecker - 3+ Hairy Woodpecker - 1 Least Flycatcher - 1 Tree Swallow - 20+ Rough-w. Swallow - 5+ (Cornell campus, 4 May) Barn Swallow - 1 (Ithaca) Blue Jay - 6+ (Saps.
