LIDICKEN 1990 Aug 20 car. Ping - Jay - 4 Mt. Bluebird - 1 Red st. Flicker - 1 Auricularis (1st ranged) Warbler - 1 Rock Wren - 2 Brewers Sparrow - 4 Mt. Chickadee - 4 + Brewers Blk bird - 5 Tanager - 2 (dark, thick sided but pale brown, rd. refuses flanks, tail long & black w/ white outer feil feathers ; spirea - edl). Also saw : Chickadee - 2 Golden rumped grail Squirrel - 1 Chipmunk - 8 + P. (eos) on supposed to occur here, but we did not see any. Between the North Pass & Carry at Goodale's Cut off, saw Red St. Hawk - 3 Carolina Grouse - 30 + Milled - 4+ Clim.-Towl-+ Bellyjake - + Carr. Goldenpintle - 3, Brewers Blackbird - 1 & lots of mast tree ducks. The wind was too strong to hold binoculars steady. A few miles further W we found with field a record : T. Vulturine - 1 Am. Crow - 20 + Milled - 5+ Clim.-Towl- 10 +, Yel. hd. Blackbird - 15 + & Brewers Blackbird - 1. From Carry to Fairfield we sawd only Nightjock - 1, Myrthia - 2+, Barn Swallow - 4, mn. red. Swallow - 1, Brewers Blk bird - 11. At Mountain Home we got on I-84 & went NW to bear lunch at Boise, Idaho & then to Ontario, Oregon. From Mt. Home & Ontario recorded : Prong horn antelope - 3+, Swainson's Hawk - 1 Took US 20 W across Oregon to Riley when we found S on US 395 to later view when we stopped
