Very hot, Air myriads showing, large areas covered with water lilies & some marsh. Saw: Gt. B. Heron - 2, Indigo Buntings - 10+ Song Sparrow - 6+ Yellowhammer - 1+ Purple Martin - 20+ T.Titmouse - + Red-winged Swallow - 80+ Cardinal - 1 Mocking Bird - 2 Bluejay - + Tufted Titmouse - + Wk. br. Nuthatch - + Carrkin - + Ruf. sld Towhee - 4+ Darny Woodpecker - 8+ Red-tail Warbler - 5+ Flicker - 4 House Sparrow - + Starling - + Green Heron - 2+ Mourning Dom - + Returned to flying 62 & went west into Illinois, flying 141 to [illegible] flying 1 to 45 to 14 do McLeansboro (incom stg) + to Mt.
