We took the road called "Birkedalsveien" over into the valley of Gudbrandsdal. About 1km before the crest (at 1090m) we stopped to look around the alpine tundra. We noticed some marmots in a boggy area on the edge of a willow thicket at an alt 30 resp drops w/ no fruit (H got 15, Kj -5, + I got 10). We estimated this to be at about 1000m elevation. The tundra vegetation has also of dwarf birches as well as Salix, however a grasper. Traps set at ~ 16:45. Continued on to Ljosheim when we had dinner at a restaurant called "Hygga". Did some bird-watching along the way. Returned to our stops + picked them up at 21:15 to 21:30, so they were out for about 4½ hrs. Caught 1 Sorex araneus only (WZL# 4098). Returned to Eivestad ~ 22:00, + L. & I came back across the Gløma.
