LIDICKER 1950 Aug. 1 - checked trap on yard no. 7 (9:15 to 10::), opening all traps a this is end of the trapping session. Picked up snap trap line (10:15 to 12:15) with help of J & Gurn (Harry's first time for 8 years). Caught: 4 fitch. upper forest - Clethrionomys - 1 (p-m) (#4091) rd-side - Clethrionomys - 1 (a) (#4090) Microtus sp. - 1 (p-m) - This was taken very north of my study and a few m. from when C & G was taken (July 20). Took photo of object (WEL# 4089). lower forest - Clethrionomys - 1 (p-m) #4088 Sorex minutus - 1 (p-m) . WEL# 4087 n=5 for total of 25 on K. line. Two sec. photos of dogline sites. Studied animal most of day, Louise arrived at 4 16:07 train from Oslo. After early dinner of rotimgratte at Brattopp, Harry took us + Takada in his car to set snap traps in two clear cuts. We drove on logging roads & into the forest a found 2 clearcuts with good vegetation cover i like to use. We estimated there an - depopulated my to an 1 1/2 km E Evensetd at about 335 m. The offer area was slightly older & had good cover of dry stems between vegetation, # raspberries, etc + was on a fairly steep slope. We set out 4-5 traps (H-15, S-15, LB-15) with gain H + S very active for bait & I found the p-m. The lower clearcut had more grass, fewer dry stems, & lots of raspberries (delicious). Set 4-5 traps here also (H-15, S-15, LB-15). This gave a total of
