Arr. Evensjod ~ 19'45. Harry A. met us. After dinner we rowed across the Glaama (= Glomma) to where the research group has a house for the rest of the summer ("Brattopp"). At ~ 23'00 I canoed back to the skogskole side (E) where I was staying. July 30 - Opened traps in all the enclosures to start this week's trapping season. From ~ 10'45 to 14'00, Harry, Jakub + I set out roughly dry line in the forest to the East of the railroad tracks. We crossed the tracks to the E. of enclosure #7 & climbed up the mountain found a clearcut which we have quite reached. The river is at 250 m, elevation & we climbed to forestry log camp at 400 m. The trap are small but strong snap traps. Jakub + Harry went off for lunch & I found a mixture of misti & a small amount of juniper berries. At the highest elevation we set 20 traps (J-5, H-5, B-10) in mature forest with some rocks & lots of breeze, Archibury, etc. Traps were mostly placed with some pine or birches.
