LIDICKEN 1990 July 23 am. at 16 o'clock with Jenny & her mother Kristian Os, we drove to Salts trommen when the upper fjord (Skjerstad) empties through narrow channel into Salfjorden: quite spectacular & lots of water birds in the area. Talked with a few distinct relatives of Louise's. July 24 - Jenny drove me to the top of heavily overgrown Rognvik fjellet overlooking Bodø. We walked down & longer from district. After lunch boarded Hurtigrade ferry, Nordstjernen, at 15:00. Ferry went cross side of Landegode (largely visited) & then across Vest fjorden to Stamsund & Lofooten Islands. Arr. ~ 19:05 & left 19:40. Took well over from. Next stop Svolvaer when we also walked away (21:00-22:00). At 23:30 took short detour into end of Trollfjorden (very narrow with steep walls). Took several photos at 1/30 sec. Longe July 25 - A full sleep on board & missed stop at Stokmarknes. We got up at 03:00 for to watch stop at Sortland. Then slept a little more but was up for an approach to Harstad at 06:05. At 6:15, walked around town (without breakfast) and back on board 7:45, left 8:04. Continued on into Solberg fjorden & to Finnsnes at about 11:30. Then on N to Tromsø (69°40'N) arriving ~ 14:15, Polar Hotel. July 26 - Walked to S end of Tromsø by on E side, visited Nikolai Memorial then at Tromsø Museum. Then continued walking up W side & visited through Folke Parken about half way [illegible]
