Ground Upsala was one of the last major hotbeds against Christianity. Eventually a church was built on the old heathen temple site. The river that goes through Upsala is the Fyrisån. Lightman went 4 days to given cold. From ~19-20 we walked and visited some including a quite good forest - Lightman went all time. July 19 Overcast, mostly rainy day. Lennart took us to train station & we took 09:15 tram to Stockholm arriving ~09:50. There were no seats so we sat in cantina wagon. Walked to Djurgården Island as far as Frisans Park. Had lunch at Lilla Hasselbacken Restaurant opposite entrance to Skansen. Lightman continued rain most of the time. Walked back to train station & took train to Oslo at 15:36. As we had no seat reservations, we changed seats 6 times during trip but managed to sit down on return trip. Arr 21:55; got home about 22:40. Birds seen in vic. of Upsala & trip to Grimsö: Mallard - 8+ Gullinryg - 2 Bjuggard - 1 Korsdöd - 1
