LIDICKON 1990 May 31 cont. Joined us. We then spent until ~ 17:00 touring Nuremberg; Udo left us about 12:30. Took lots of photos. From 17:35 to 19:15 we again visited the lake in Dachsandorf. Udo picked us up at 19:30 and took us to his apartment for dinner. His wife Reinhold is expecting a baby (8th or 8 June). We were joined by Franzlein's wife Mascha Lissowsky - another of Udo's Masters students - working on Bettongia. Birds seen (N = Nuremberg): St. cresset Grebe - 4 Little Grebe - 2 Mute Swan - 2 (1 N) Mallard - 45 (20 N) Tufted Duck - 17 (2 N) Pochard - 2 Ring-necked Duck - 1 juv. (N). These were seen quite well & so they were in a city park, they must have been escape). Buzzart - 1 Pheasant - 1 Coot - 20 + Black-vented Sheld - 1 am + 1 pm. Rock Dove - 15 + (mostly N) Wood Dove - 3 + Collared Turtle Dove - 3 + Chukoo - 1 Squab - 40 + Skylark - 5 + Shorelark - 10 + House Martin - 50 + Yellow Wagtail - 1 (N) Magpie - 5 + Common Crow - 25 + Jackdaw - 5 + Dunnock - 1 Wren - 1 Red Warbler - 20 + Whinchat - 1 Black Redstart - 10 + Blackbird - 100 + Great Tit - 2 + Blue tit - 2 + saw. lugging jive.
