Gull, lesser Bllk-bld Gull, Common Eider - 40+ (mostly drs) Lolland, Denmark: Coot, Cross seen in the Common Cross but may be misidentified Rock S. Red leg funny to Puttgarden (W. Germany); had dinner on ferry: Herring, Common, & Bllk-bld. Gulls, a snort of ~ 6 Corn. Eiders (mostly imm. drs) on German side. Green Finch - Puttgarden. Swns at 21:25! Changed trains at Hamburg (~ 23:30) for Stuttgart. May 25 - Got a little sleep on train (conducette). When we got up we were following the River Neckar (09:35) first E.(q.) life: delfburg. Before arriving in Stuttgart saw: Gray Heron, mute Swan, Common Cross, & Siskins. Noted alot of conifers tinged with reddish brown (waldstorbin?) Put luggage in a locker, had a small breakfast, a dark walk to nearby park which extended to the river. We did not get all the way to the river before bus had to turn back to make our train at 12:44.
