(Grey lag geese in the lake + 1 S Tundra Duck was still there. May 17 - Nesodden - first House Martin seen. May 19 - Sognsvannet & Aklungen 10:00-14:30 Walked from Kringsjoe to Sognsvannet at W side of lake and continued N another km, w 2 to Aklungen - a somewhat smaller lake. On return trip walked along E side of Sognsvannet, in the fog good as have been walking, eggs (see Apr. 29), the egg masses were gone, emergent vegetation was growing rapidly, + there were very small tadpoles in the pond. Weather: clear & sunny, but cool (light jacket needed), cleared by early afternoon, cloud of some tellers were out. Birds seen: Common Gannet - 2 Goanders 2 S. + 1 A Mallard - 30+ incl. 1 hooded & 11 + only 2 dr at A Goldeneye - 15+ + 1 hooded & 8 (few days old). Common Sandpiper (Tringa hypoleucos) - 12+ Les. Blk. Lb. Gull - 2 Com. Gull - 6+ Blk. Ad. Gull - 50+ Rock Dove - 10+
