LIDICKEN 1990 Kringsjå - Sognsvann May 9 - 20:10 - 22:10 Took walks in one month along various wooded trails. Partly cloudy, cool. Did not see any new birds or any thing unusual. Heard some songs could not recognize. Robins singing everywhere. Bygdøy to Østensjø vannet , Oslo May 12 Took ferry to Bygdøy at 10:45. Want to Kon- Tiki Museum & walked along S shore of Bygdøy to Huk. (3y.) (1000-1700) Took no. 30 bus to Viking - skipper Museum. Walked to ferry at Drøningen & stopped for Lettefår; took ferry at 1800. Took train to Skienrud & then back to Skøyenåsen & walked to N end of Østensjø vannet (Ø.S.V.). After looking around N.end of Lake returned to train at 2030. Got home ~ 21:15. Beautiful clear day & cool. In early afternoon it got quite warm & then we a lot of sun bathing at Huk. Birds seen: Gt. Crake (Crake) - 6 (Ø.S.V.) Canada Goose - 15+ Graylag Gwan - 3 (Byg.) imm. 2 hawks (5,3) at Byg. Mallard - 45+ (imm & bird ~10 Shelduck - 10+ (Byg.) at Ø.S.V.) Tufed Duck - 1 dr. (Ø.S.V.) Morkan - 10+ (Ø.S.V.) Oystercatcher - 50± (Byg.) Redshank - 8+ (Byg.) Less, Blk. Lh. Gull - 5+ Herring Gull - 30+ Corn. Gull - 20+ Blk Lh. Gull - 100+ Common Tern - 12+ (Byg.) Wood Pigeon - 20+ Red Dunn - 20+ (am prev. 2 days at Byg., was by thousands & seemed wild; they were like Red Duns but had gray points & distinct black wing almost all white). (cont.)
