Liked up to Frognerseteran. Hot snack at Skistua,
& then walked to top of jvtra (Tryvann Stn.) - 529 m. Got
train from Frognerseteran at 16:18 & got home 17:15.
Mostly sunny early but becoming cloudy by mid-afternoon.
Temperatures out of the same later freezing and slight winds
on top. Lots of snow on trails as we approached top of
the mountain from N. side. Lakes on top were all
frozen, & Lillevann was also snow-covered. Sogns-
vannet had hardly any frozen along the S. edge. Took
casual photos of Sognsvannet, a ram on way to top of
jvtra, including one of large ant nest with of Picea
heather. Ants are large and black with reddish thorax,
& nests in the same, ants were active on top of the nests
(ant-maur) (manature). These nests started about 2 way up jvtra, &
than become scarcer near the top. Saw some dropping,
browse
trails, & browse sign n 1/2 way to top. Also saw smaller
droppings (Corvus?). Also saw more tracks in
snow, Rabbit tracks a mark stripped in on place
and. Smelled muskratid near top. Took casual photos
from top of mountain.
