LIDICKEN 1998 March 14 cont. T0ok ~ few photographs & collected specimens of Rubus for SREL herbarium. I wouldnt flushed for 2 nest boxes. Saw 2 Amer Bitterns Betsy Sharitz & Sally Landau identified Rubus as R. actulifolius. March 15 06:15 - 10:45 Lorian & I went on birding trip with Peter Stangl,. Visited Red-cockaded Woodpecker site S of Dumbarton on the SRS then went to Eagle Bay (near Par Rd.), th~ down along PAR Rd. + kindly to coming L Pond [via "Dinosaur Bay" ] (nr. Par Rd.). Birds seen: Common Loon - 20 Piedt. Brike - 30+ Dbl. crest. Cormorant - 25+ Gt. Blm Heron . 12+ Wood Duck - 1 fv. (Dinosaur Bay) Ring-necked Duck - 8 Lesser Scaup - 8+ Bufflehead - 16+ Ruddy Duck - 30+ T. Vulture - 10+ Red-tailed Hawk - 1 Osprey - 2 Common Gallinule - 1 Coast - 40+ Ring-billed Gull - 2 Moorning Dove - 15+ N.
