WEL# 4065 March 8 Jerry + I went to Ellenton Bay to complete our vegetation descriptions of three sides. 9:50-12:10 Weather, overcast, cold, with light rain starting on our way back. Finished & worked back from 2 1/2 hrs. artificial nests placed on thru. Heard Sora fl:w. Charleston Trip - 11-12 March March 11 - Drive to Charleston via Long 78 + 64, arriving at Magnolia Gardens about 12:10. Left then 15:30 continuing to Charleston & taking walking tour of old downtown. Stayed overnight in Cooper River. Bird list seen: Brown Pelican - 2 Duck Command - 15+ Great Egret - 1 Louisiana Heron - 1 Green-winged Teal - 2 f. Ring-necked Duck - 18 Blue-winged Teal - 20 + and, only 4 ?? T. Vulture - 15+ Bik. Vulture - 15+ (near New Ellenton) Kestrel - 1 Osprey - 1+ Common Goldeneye - 30+ Anh. Coot - 35+ Willow - 1 (Charleston) Ring-billed Gull - 50+ Laughing Gull - 25+ Royal Tern - 1 Black Duck - 2 Mourning Dove - 2 Flamingo - 2 Piled Woodpecker - 1
