LIDICKEN 1990 Jan. 20 cont. Seven mile Square - 1 (SREL) short, weak, 2d. liquid drift - 1+ (SI) + dense SREL - joining Franco. n = 31 Jan. 29 14:00-17:00 Sat out our trap grid at Ellinor Bay - w/ Lewis & Berry. Overcast, warm, sprinkles of rain. As soon as we finished then came strong winds and heavy rain but very briefly. Clear, almost near zero, our night with temperature dropping into 20's F. Because of slightly higher water level (a big damage in S sector) we had to notify grid somewhat. E. sector - trap D-9 the rest at D-10 was removed, + D-10 north to support a block basin N. sector - traps E-13 + F-13 moved some farther back toward E-14 + F-14 respectively, D-11 + F-11 moved so as to occur from d. the. G-11 due to high ground. S sector - N line removed except for 8, 9, & 10. New P-line established (1-10). Lots of big signs in the area. Pat & Scott from Lab took photos of mi. Jan. 30 08:30-10:20 Heavy frost w/ light layers of ice on Bay. Clear + warming through Am. Moved a few of D traps; S retract to O 1/2 position. Recession disturbance - W- sector + N-[[illegible]] had blocked trap line was carried about 5 [[illegible]] further into block basin, + central S-traps (on the cliffed) & a S perimeter.
