LIDICKEN 1989 21 Oct. cont. Turkey Vulture - 1 (between N. Augusta + Dickson) mud-hint. Hawk (possibly Cooper's Hawk) - 1 Rock Dove - 1 mud-hint. and land thrifty (partly barred) - 1 Robin - 1 Carolina Chickadee - 1+ Flicker - 2 Carolina Wren - 2 Downy Woodpecker - 1 Mockingbird - 5+ Bluebird - 4 Brown Thrasher - 2 Blue Jay - 2+ Golden (cv. Kinglet) - 1+ Horned Sparrow - 10+ Savannah River Site, Dickson Co., South Carolina Nov. 12 with Luvin + Jerry Wolff. Set out by Skinner traps (collected) baited with sunflower seeds. In afternoon. Field 3-4-12 (southern most corn of Dickson Co.): Lot 2 set out 56 date + Jorg set 56 = transits 20 to 10 single various habitats, but looking particularly for S:grain. Our line went through Prairie thickets, Bottoms thicket, & swamp thicket as well as grassland. Oct. 11, Stand 6 : Then we met 40 date and - 2's field size is ~ ½ way between the Rd & Chowlesy + SE 1/25 on E-side of Rd. 2. It is a 86 ac. side clear cut in 1988 but with around fronts of hardwoods & some mixed hardwoods & pine remaining. At least one portion of the site has "windows". About 10 days of my line were actually not along a window.
