Augusta to Abbeville, South Carolina Oct. 15 Took hwy 230 N to unnamed rd marked to "Clocks Hill". Went W by beautiful swamp to return N to hwy 23 (bridge out), to Modoc to Parksville. Went far along main - reservoir (out to island & back). Drove to McCormick & then Abbeville. From there to Cedart Falls & on hwy. 81 to entry to Boiling Lake connecting to US 328. Stopped briefly at Baker Creek Rd. P/R & road to Parksville - sun was setting. Went to Clocks Hill & drove across dam & back & then returned via SC 28 to I-20 & then to N. Augusta.
