Sept. 9 Overnight at Sogata Station in addition to hiking class and live bird, 2 red & 7 Towhee live traps for nestmate cinnama in the "rock pile" E. of the Station, a 2 goather with a 10 mins. Special cast for water showers along the creek. Watched a pair of herons in the creek then so dark. They were feeding on willows & can now carried into the shed manually for storage. Sept. 10 (erased) Parrot's car miraculously a days delay, and + 1 goather. Two N. cinnama were caught (10:00-?) & then were car tagged by Pat Kelly. Dr. Johnson went to Silver Valley N of Chilcoot for shopping in the desert. Sept. 11 Spent about 2 hours containing a small forest fire started by 3 of the students burning too wet paper. Did not get back to Sogata until noon.
