LIDICKER 1986 Sundial Regional Park Alameda Ca. Calif. 23 March 11:15 - 14:30 Made a survey visit preliminarily to a Zology 107 field trip in early April. Looked particularly for good sites for class to observe Sci.), ground squirrels. Explored park at Curry Rd. entrance; the Welch Creek Rd. was closed. Lots of ground squirrel burrows in grasslands around just headquarters & parking lots, but only a few squirrels seen obviously because there were alot of people (4 loops) around as it was a last Sunday. Did find one very active colony across bridge & in SW corner of Park. Birds seen: Turkey Vulture Sharp-shinned Hawk -1 Red-tailed Hawk Rock Dove (outskirts park) Mourning Dove (
